Voluntary SMS opt-in processes (illustrations)

The screenshots below illustrate voluntary SMS opt-in processes used on CarShowScout.com. Users are not required to receive SMS messages to use the site, register for events, or vote unless they choose an SMS-based action or explicitly opt in during signup.

  • Event dash card (SMS vote / judge)

    Public voting / judge access: attendees may text a vehicle entry code to the event SMS number or scan a QR code from a printed dash card. Participation is initiated by the user; standard message rates apply.

  • Account signup (optional SMS consent)

    Account signup: optional “Text me helpful updates…” checkbox (unchecked by default). SMS is not required to create an account; a phone number is only needed if the user opts in.

By texting an event code to CarShowScout, scanning a CarShowScout QR code, submitting a buyer-interest form, or providing your phone number during event registration, event check-in, voting, or other event participation flows, you agree to receive SMS messages from CarShowScout. SMS consent is not required as a condition of purchase or participation.

CarShowScout SMS messages may include messages related to car show event voting, event registration, event check-in, vehicle dash card or QR code interactions, buyer-interest inquiries, event reminders, event schedule updates, account notifications, and support responses.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your event activity, registrations, inquiries, and interactions with CarShowScout. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.

CarShowScout does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except as necessary to provide the SMS messaging service or as required by law.
